Staffordshire Horseboxes have been designing 3.5 ton coachbuilt horseboxes for over 14 years. The company was founded by myself Jayne Sansom , at the time I was trying to purchase a Horsebox for myself but realising everything was built by engineers with no knowledge of horses i designed and had my first Horsebox built and this was our first step on the road to what we have achieved now. Jayne and her family use the horseboxes daily as they all compete from dressage to showing and breed welsh sec A and C ponies and thoroughbreds.

Travelling such a broad spectrum of height, types and temperaments soon taught us what works and what needs attention. Our horseboxes are built using the latest technology and products available. We have developed the horseboxes to ensure maximum carrying capacity whilst keeping strength and safety paramount. Our horseboxes are rear facing 2 horse which can be driven on a normal car license from 17 years of age. They have plenty of storage for saddlery and clothing.

Over the past couple of years we have branched out to cover nationwide transport 24 hours a day 7 days a week including emergencies. We hold DEFRA registration for both type 1 (reg no:UK/STAFF/T1/00079978  ) and type 2 ( reg no:UK/STAFF/T2/00031810 ) transportation and all our drivers hold a British Horseracing education and Standards Trust Certificate in Equine Transport.

We are happy to transport racehorses, eventers,take you to lessons or pony club or emergency calls to the vet our drivers are here to help.

We also specialise in self drive hire,where you can rent a horsebox for a 24 hour period, a weekend or weekly hire.

With the high cost of owning and running a horsebox and only using it maybe 10 times a year this is an ideal facility to use a modern horsebox with a fixed rental charge. Whether you are buying a new horse, moving yards, vet visit or even a day out our horseboxes are available for hire.
